Church Choir

Giffnock South church choir meet each week on a Thursday evening between September and May. We are a mixed group of all ages who enjoy music and love to sing. We sing in four parts - soprano, alto, tenor and bass and sing both traditional and modern pieces. We lead the congregation in singing each week and sing an anthem as part of the weekly service. We also prepare a Christmas recital which in 2015 was the wonderful 'Night of Miracles'. Some of our members join us for practice on a Thursday and attend their own churches on a Sunday morning.

If you enjoy music and love to sing or love music and enjoy singing why not come and join us. We meet at 7.30pm on Thursday nights and enjoy a well earned tea break half way through our practice, sometimes with fantastic home baking.

Being a member of the church choir is challenging and gives a great sense of achievement but most of all it is FUN. We'd love to welcome you as one of our choir.

Choir practice resumes on Thursday 13th September 2018 at  7.30pm and Sunday anthem performances resume on 30th September.  A warm welcome awaits any budding choristers who would like to join a lively, friendly group as they practise in the Eglinton Hall every Thursday.

Upper Room

Even if you attend church every Sunday, you may not really know anyone very well. You might not want to join any existing organisations but you might like company and friendship in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. THE UPPER ROOM could be just the place for you!

The idea behind THE UPPER ROOM is “to meet for each other, always aware that we are in our Lord’s presence”.

The group is open to anyone who is interested to come along-you can attend once, occasionally, or every time - bring a friend or come alone!

We meet on Wednesday mornings at 11am in the Rouken Garden Centre Cafe.

The Guild

The aim of the Guild is to unify women and men of the church in the dedication of their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ through worship, fellowship and service. Members enjoy meeting together on alternate Wednesdays, at either 2pm or 7:30pm. when speakers bring news and views on many interesting subjects and help stimulate fresh thought and action. A warm welcome is extended to all members of the congregation to share in the fellowship and friendship of the Guild - and perhaps discover some sphere of usefulness just waiting to be fulfilled!
