The events team helps to facilitate any event in our church calendar when we are required, and helps other organisations such as the Guild.

Such Events can be:

  • Bridge afternoons
  • Sunday School family trip to Arran
  • BBC tour & live show
  • "In Harmony" biannual choir concerts
  • Joint Event: Quiz Night with Woodfarm High School

We hope the events we run at Giffnock South will be of interest to our members and the wider community in Giffnock , South Glasgow and beyond. We try to have events that appeal to all age groups. In recent times, the events team has arranged Garden Fetes, Quiz Nights, special speaker evenings, fundraising Fashion nights, Auctions, Trips to Heart and Soul and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. We fundraise for different charities including recently our own Church Roof Fund.

Our current nominated charity is 'Nicola's Ninjas'- which aims to raise awareness of and fundraising for research and treatment of ISPD Congenital Muscular Dystrophy. See the "Church Charity" tile «here» for more info.

Every year, we arrange a 4 day holiday which incorporates a Cathedral visit where our Minister conducts a Communion service. In the last few years we have visited Durham, Harrogate, Chester and Inverness. Our 2017 trip is to Harrogate with visits to Ripon Cathedral and Whitby.

As an events team, we enjoy what we do and hope that through the different events our members and also the wider community are brought together in fellowship.
